It is recommended that you close all windows programs before installation of MySQL.
|If you are running a firewall such as ZoneAlarm, it will be easier if you first disable the firewall, then install MySQL.
Reboot your computer after the installation is complete.
1. Insert the MySQL CD
2. Right click on the file: mysql-essential-5.0.27-win32.msi
3. Select Install
Click on NEXT >
1. Select TYPICAL
2. Click on NEXT >
Click on INSTALL
1. Select SKIP SIGN-IN
2. Click on NEXT >
Click on FINISH
Click on NEXT >
1. Select STANDARD CONFIGURATION
2. Click on NEXT >
1. Select Install As Windows Service
2. Service Name: MySQL
3. Select Launch the MySQL Server Automatically
4. Select Include BIN Directory in Windows Path
5. Click on NEXT >
1. Select Modify Security Settings
2. Enter a Password ( 6-10 characters )
3. Click on NEXT >
